The Whyse Approach and The Whyse Approach II: Becoming Whyser

The Whyse Approach and The Whyse Approach II: Becoming Whyser are dynamic, in-person workshops. These interactive sessions teach participants how to use deep empathy and new perspectives to get to the root of tough issues, showing practical ways to help people heal and build resilience.

Here are the core topics we cover:

Taking Care of Yourself & Others: Sharpening your empathy skills, modelling healthy behaviour, balancing supports, and combating compassion fatigue and vicarious stress with realistic self-care.

The Foundations: What the Whyse Approach is, how and why to use it, and how to change your lens using the “serve and return” process and perspective-shifting.

Brain Health & Stress: Understanding brain development, the real physical and mental impacts of toxic stress, and diving deeper than the ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences) study.

Trauma & Healing: Navigating trauma-informed practice, process vs. substance addiction, and the impacts of intergenerational trauma.

The Path Forward: Exploring intergenerational healing, Indigenous approaches to wellness, and healing through relationships.

Modern Challenges: Addressing “PandeMental” health issues arising from the psychological impacts of the pandemic, and finding the light on the horizon.
