The Whyse Approach and The Whyse Approach II: Becoming Whyser

The Whyse Approach and The Whyse Approach II: Becoming Whyser are dynamic, in-person workshops. These interactive sessions teach participants how to use deep empathy and new perspectives to get to the root of tough issues, showing practical ways to help people heal and build resilience.

Note: This foundational session can be taken as a standalone workshop, but it must be completed before booking The Whyse Approach II.

  • Overcoming Mental Exhaustion: Practical, down-to-earth tools to manage daily stress and protect your personal well-being.
  • Trauma-Informed Care: Creating safe environments by shifting how we view, understand, and support one another.

The Whyse Approach II: Becoming Whyser
Note: This advanced workshop is for those who have completed the foundational session and want to dive deeper.

  • The “Serve and Return” Process: Mastering the rhythmic, relational communication patterns that build human connection.
  • Shifting Your Lens: Refining your personal frame of reference and honing deep empathy under pressure.
  • Beyond the ACEs Study: Exploring what modern science has uncovered about trauma since the original research.
  • Understanding Addiction: Navigating the complex roots of process vs. substance addictions in contemporary culture.
  • Healing & Resilience: Practical strategies to counteract toxic stress and foster intergenerational healing.
  • Relational & Indigenous Approaches: Embracing collective, traditional paths to wellness and community care.
  • Protecting Your Well-being: Navigating vicarious stress, modeling healthy behaviours, and combating compassion fatigue.
  • Building Support Networks: Practical toolkits to sustain yourself, your peers, and those you serve.

What You Will Gain:
This advanced session moves past theory to give you a profound, root-level understanding of trauma, mental health, and human behaviour. In the aftermath of isolation and collective stress, you will walk away with the practical tools needed to counteract negative influences and foster real healing. This training equips you to model healthy behaviours, combat compassion fatigue, and build a powerful ecosystem of support for the children, youth, colleagues, and friends in your life—while protecting your own well-being.

 

In-person with Sandy $2500 +tax for each workshop. Non-profit organizations receive 20% off workshop prices.

Each Includes:
* Up to 20 participants.
*Initial consultation.
*Up to 8 hours total presentation time.
*Digital resources for each participant.
*Travel within the Fraser Valley.

Additional costs for each:
*Additional participants beyond 20.
*Travel outside of the Fraser Valley
*Meeting room rental costs, if applicable.
*Catered lunch if required.
